Today is the day for monthly water change for my two cichlid tanks...90 gal and 150 gal. It usually takes about an hour to do the 90 gal and about an hour and half for the 150. This all depends on how many times I have to start and stop. This time I ran the RO water over in the bathroom....seems thats a monthly deal too.....LOL
The water hasnt even filled back up and the male frontosa is already moving rocks. I think next time I change substrate I will go with full blown river rock bottom....LOL see if he can move those.

How big is your frontosa??? My mom has a 8-9" buttikoferi which would move all the gravel to one side. She bought some big rive rock like pebbles type and he still managed to move them now hes in a bare bottom tank.

The male front is 7-8" and likes under one particular rock. He "attacks" the siphon strainer when I get to close to his hiding place. These are pebble size landscape rocks from Lowes....Still can get a couple in his mouth and move.......

My mom bought some they are ment for those mini water fountains well we washed them really good and put them in there bigger the the ones for the graden and he stilled moved them. They were to big for his mouth but since they were smoth he would rush them till the corner was clear.
