Any suggestions as to a cost effective, yet very good water conditioner I could pick up at PetSmart?

I will be picking up some freeze dried worms today so might as well get some water conditioner as well. :)

Seachem Prime... I'd check their online price too, it's regularly less than they have it at in store- bring a printout just in case.

You'll soon notice that the majority of people here use & recommend Prime...

A personal recommendation of mine is that when you get home & open it, have a friend/spouse/etc. smell it for you to make sure it smells right... my wife still hasn't forgiven me!

I use API's cheap-o dechlorinator. I don't recall the name. I think its just called "tap water conditioner" or "dechlorinator"
Look for something that requires 1ml per gallon. A bottle lasts forever.

Prime is great stuff IF you need something to remove chlorine, ammonia and nitrite. My tanks are cycled and established. Its a waste for me to use Prime. Simply not necessary. All I need is something to remove chlorine. That's it.

I use prime, but since I ran out and this other brand was on sale, I currently use

'Aqueon Water Conditioner'.
