Water currents for my Red Devil

Noob here. Gotta question on water currents for my Red Devil. He's alone in a 50 gal tank, running a Fluval 304 and a powerhead 50. I've set the powerhead to it's lowest setting and the 304 on a med setting. Having both on appears to generate a lot of water movement. Can this be stressful for him? I've given him caves to hide (One on each side of the tank.) Any thoughts?

you don't need the power head. sounds like it's not connected to a filter and is simply generating current? if so, remove it.

My powerhead is used for aerating my water.

if you think that it too much current, try to point the powerhead towards another direction. Add some diter fish so the devil won't be as stressed. Good luck

devils do not appreciate alot of current. i'd remove the power head.

Only nessisary if your tank is horibly overstocked.
