Water Hardness

Hey,

My tap water is pretty hard as it is, so I need something to lower it for my fish. I've seen some products that are pretty expensive (And slow), but I'm just wondering if there are any better options.

The best option is to not lower it. Post your test results for pH, kH, and gH.

You can cut it with RO water, but knowing the GH/KH/pH and TDS of your current water, along with what fish you keep will help us give you a better response.

Stability is the key.

agreed, don't mess with it is the best option. You could have africans, most love hard water, or peat if you absolutely need some soft water.

how hard is the water? mine is almost a rock fish are fine

my tap water is very soft. it goes through a softener before comeing in. but the ph
is around 8 to 8.4. would soft water be ok for ciclids.
