Water keeps turning green

Instant ocean..this has never happened since i had the tank up and running...doing a big water change tonight so we'll see..16 gal

Hmmm...Can you recall if the bloom corresponds with opening a new bag? I've heard from others indicating they got a bag that was different--kind of a bad batch, maybe?

hmm..cant recall but possibly...i mean the water kinda looks like it has a very light green tint to it...but..today i cant be sure..kinda looks just cloudy...hope the water change does it..but when i run a medium in the canister filter it comes out with algea on it and the water looks clearer..so not sure

Running some super fine floss might help as well--the concern I have is that this just treats the symptom, rather than the cause.

Yeah i know...cuz filtering and water changes get to be a hassel when you have to do them so often...was thinking of a skimmer...wonder if that will help..anyways,,thanx for all your help :)

think a skimmer might help?....did a 10 gallon water change..tank looks better but still has a haze to it...especially if you look from one side of the tank throught it...

Yes, a skimmer would help--it will remove organics from the system, depriving the algae of some food.

UV will just kill the free-floating algae--it will not remove it from the system, and it will not treat the cause. Throwing expensive technology at the problem is a poor solution, IMO, especially something like UV, that will also kill any other free-floating organisms--many of which are likely consuming the algae and helping to reduce it.
