Water Level Spiked

Well I woke up this morning and my 38 gal had a dark green tint to the water! I tested the levels: ph 8.0, nitrate 20 nitrite 5.0, and ammonia.50. The water levels were were normal perfectly fine 3 days ago. Does anyone know what could have happen to cause this? thanks.

I assume this is your African Cichlid tank.
How long have you had the tank set up?
When was your last water change?
Did you just recently add to the tank?

I have had my tank for about 2 months. I did an 70% or so last sunday, so 7 days ago. Nothing new has been added. The only thing that I changed up is Saturday I put some small feeder guppies for them to eat, but they were gone in about 15 minutes.
