Water Parameters and PH questions

I have found the nitrate test can be pretty easy to mess up. You have to make sure to really shake the bottle for the time recommended.

I did the test again today, just now actually. I made sure to really time myself on both shaking the bottle and the tube. My results were between 0 and 5, I'm guessing about 3ppm for Nitrate. My Ammonia was 0 so I am guessing it was just time for a water change. I only tested the 10g today.

I feel like my tank is cycled. I never really thought the ammonia was a big issue since it was low and went away with last night's water change. I'll keep an eye on it though.

As far as the pH goes, I'll try to maybe pick up another piece of driftwood for my tetras. I love the way it looks and this is a good excuse! :naughty:
