Hello,

Quick question. I recently purchased the Aquarium Pharmaceuticals Freshwater Master Test Kit. I want to know if it is OK to test my water while at the end of treating my tank for Ich. I am using the saltwater bath treatment for this case of Ich but I would like to test my Ph and other levels. Is it ok to do so ? Will I get inaccurate readings due to the salt content (currently at 2 1/2 tsp per gallon). Any help or info would be appreciated.

Thanks!!

James

I would think that the salt levels may effect PH levels and DH/KH but otherwise unless you've been using chemicals to treat the ich (which will have killed of some bacteria) your other results should be accurate.

and even if you have killed some bacteria your results will still be accurate they will mearly represent the new bio-systems cabability to convert waste.

(please dont take my word for it tho, as I am still leanring at the mo and occasionally dont get it quite right :D)

I Have The Same Test Kit, And It Doesn't Test DH/KH. (pH, High pH, Ammonia, Nitrites, And Nitrates.)
