We Are SO Snowed In!!! (Virginia)

I've lived in Michigan for 24 years. This winter I decided I hate winter. I ride BMX and cant ride in winter except in skate parks. I have a nice car and dislike driving it on snowy roads due to idiots driving with me, if they wreck it, I would wreck them... Physically. It's too cold to do anything outside. The daytime is too short. I wake up and drive at night and stay in a building all day and when it's time to go home I drive back at night. I hate the cold... I want to live somewhere warm and the winters don't get colder than 30 degrees.

VA Update: 10 to 20 inches starting tomorrow all thru Wednesday. Check your weather and get any grocery shopping done today. Praying that everyone stays safe. :)

Yup, same for Baltimore...NWS says 10" - 20"; local forecasters are saying 12" - 18". As if the 2+' I just dug out wasn't enough.

Got beer?

YAAAY, more snow to shovel... I was able to get out and around because I have a 4x4, but Becka couldn't get her car out to go to work. The snow plow made one swipe around 7:00 pm Saturday night, didn't even knock it down enough for a small car to get through, and didn't come back around until after 4:00 pm Monday.
Work was called off last Friday, and may be again tomorrow.
All we need next week would be one warm day and rain like this snowfall, hard and steady w/out stopping. The snow would be gone, along with everything too close to the rivers and streams...

I'm ready on groceries, but I went to the office today and left my shovel there. I have appointments in the morning may not make it back there, sure as heck aren't any in the local hw stores. :y220d: I think we got 28" here in the first round. Northern Va is only 1" away from a winter record.

Well, I have no idea how, but it looks like I may not have lost as many fish as first though. Both my angels are almost back to normal, my rubberlip pleco was moving around last night when I went to bed (I can't see him this morning, but its pretty dark in the tank). Even my female GBR has out of nowhere started to make a recovery, I had not seen her at all, and feared the worst, last night I saw her laying on the substrate, when I went to bed she was up off the substrate, still acting badly, but up and moving, this morning she is still up and moving. Hoping she recovers in a similar fashion to the angels.

Not sure yet but it may look like the only fish I lose in my main tank are the rummy nose tetras, and possibly a neon. A female BN from my 29G and my sons betta and 2 otos in his 10G.

Never thought I would hear myself say it, but I hope it does not snow today / tomorrow. As soon as I have cleared the house a little, I need to give them a large water change and remove any dead fish in case of power outages again with this next storm.

if your son loses his otos I can replace them for just shipping. Things sound better but still stressful. Keep up the good work!
