Sorry, hope most of your fish pull through!! One thing to note for everyone when the temp. drops in the fish tank, observe the fish that appear to be dead very, very carefully for any sign of light breathing. When the water gets down that low, they loose color and kind of go into a hibernation mode until the water temperature rises again. Even if you net them in this state, they will not move a bit. Just watch for the very shallow breathing.
This is so true, and something I had been thinking about as most of the fish recovered. I think the temp in my tank got down to 40F or lower, and there were many fish that were upside down, appeared not breathing etc. I even poked my rubberlip pleco with a net to be sure he was dead, then later noticed he had moved, and is now back in his cave as if nothing had happened. My angel pair are back in their breeding behavior, and my GBR is sniffing all around the tank for food as if nothing happened.
The black neons and cories appeared as though they were not bothered at all though.

Fun aside; "Alphabet", I'm so sorry for your troubles... I went thru that last year and had an outbreak of Ich within a week or so afterwards.

okay, well i normally wouldn't complain but it is feb now and we only have about 8" of snow at the moment. i would really appreciate it if you american people could please return the snow back up here to the northern people please. my kids are bored outside. it is still freezing but there is not enough snow to do any fun winter stuff. or at least dress up your kids and take them out to build an igloo or something for me cause all this freezing weather sucks without the white stuff. ps. i have several shovels in my porch at the moment that are not getting any action. they are not selling here at all this year. if the stores were smart they would pack them up and ship them off to where they are needed. good luck in dealing with the snow. i know it is hard on you guys that aren't used to getting dumped on like that.

i wish i could! Its up over our porch steps (4 of them) and 3" up the door and I shoveled last night before i went to bed I am kind of freaked out, lol
