I'm sure some of you are saying "Well, it's about dang time!" when I say, after months of planning and saving and searching, I have FINALLY put water into my 20 gallon long.
The substrate is flourite black sand.
The wood is from Manzanitadude and Mgamer.
The light is a Coralife freshwater Aqualight with 36 watts (so 1.8 wpg).
It will be planted with flame moss, java ferns (regular and windelov), Crypt retrospiralis, Crypt wendtii, and maybe a marimo ball and Anubias nana petite.

This side is going to have one more piece in it, which I had to glue to acrylic since it wants to float.

This is the piece that will be going in to the right side. Just have to let the superglue dry, and regrow the skin on my thumb...

Questions? Comments? PLEASE!!!

good start..look forward to the updates:)

Updated! I put in the last piece, and moved the tall dark wood piece at the right over to the left a little, per MsJinkzd's suggestion. What do you think? Look good? Move anything? Obviously, I still have plants coming, so it'll look a bit better/different with plants.

So far so good. I like your plant selection. You could go low tech and have a great looking tank. Love that substrate choice too.

Slick, Bio. Gotta find room for some SNAILS in there, though!!

Lol, fear not. Snails are on their way! I got a tiger nerite and brig coming from Msjinkzd, and another nerite from Sounguru chillin' in my 5 gallon who will be going in. And, I have MTS coming to help sift sand!
