Yes to both. I can understand why you might think that the molly was the father because of the color of the babies. But you have no idea either what color any males were that the females had previously been in contact with nor how pure any of the males that they had contact with were genetically.

Just an update in case anyone is interested we have 9 for sure, and they are all 1/2 an inch or more long ?

Looks like we will need a 2nd tank lol
