I used to have 3 Bronze Cory's in my 20 gallon tank. They have grown and I have always known them to be quite active. 2 weeks ago I added 2 more bronze cory's. Since I've added this recent additions, I find the cory's resting in the caves I created for them more often than not. They usually just come out of these caves for dinner and when they are finished they all quickly return to the caves to rest. The 2 new corys (Much smaller) come out more regularly and patrol the tank. Also when I approach the tank, the Cory's stop what they are doing and head for the cover of the caves. There are no bully's in the tank. They are with 8 Black Skirts and 2 Oto's. Both are generally good community fish and have never picked on the Cory's. Can anyone explain this behaviour or is this normal? I have my same old regular water peramiters and I have continued to do regular weekly water changes.

If anyone could enlighten me, it's be appreciated.
Thanks

Hello,

I would say its more normal behaviour. I had two Peppered Cories that would stay in a cave and would hardley come out. But they got cocky soon and are now show offs! I would just wait and see what happens.

Even some of my Cories swim away when I get close. Its also normal for them to do that because generally they are a little skittish by nature.
