well, it's not about fish, but... I NEED HELP!

A long time ago a roommate worked at a pet store and one day brought home a hamster. Some customer dropped it and they thought it had a broken leg and they were going to feed it to the snakes. She brought it home to save it and I wound up taking it. It turned out it was just a sprain and within a couple of weeks she was as good as new. If you think its just a sprain then i wouldnt worry too much. Just like with people she will probably stay off of it and it will heal (just make sure she takes it easy). If you think its broken i would call around to any normal vets. many times they will see a hamster. I could see an Avian vet saying no, but not a regualr vet.

Don't pick up that mouse anymore!
I haven't picked her up since the incident, but i'm gonna need to change the bedding soon.

Sounds like shes feeling better!

This time stay close to the ground, and INSIDE, away from pavement! What were you doing with her outside? A hawk mightve gotten her.... really, I saw this happen on one of those Incredible Video shows, a kid and his dad had the mouse cage outside and put the mouse on top of the cage to play and SWOOSH, a hawk swooped down grabbed the mouse and took off. The kid was shocked of course, but the dad was more impressed than anything. So keep your small bite-sized pets in the house....

the pavement was inside my stairwell. dang cheap landlord!! oh, well... she looks better now, but still has a limp and is favoring her other foot.

Take the wheel out, and when you need to change bedding just put her in a tall pitcher or tupperware. She shouldn't be exercising a sprain, it'll just get worse. Good luck, boo boo!!!!
