What are the difference in OB Peacock colors as it grows?

They are difficult to sex when juvies. They will all be OB, and the males should develop a hint of blue and some egg spots (but i think females can have eggspots too). The best way to know a female from a sub-dominant male is just to see one holding. ;)

Thanks, I now have two OB's. One is 3 and the other is 2.5 incher. Since they are not with the dominant pair/parent, at what size should I see the color change?

AlsoThe OB's are off white color with gray markings. At what size does the off white turn into white and the gray spots become blue?

I had a third whichdid not have enough gray spots and I traded him. I thought even if it was he, there will not be enough blue onhim to be good-looking! :( I hope that the two I have will be a pair. Tey do swim together.

thanks,

You may be able to tell the sex by the way they act as well, but its something that you get used to after keeping these fish for a while. I've never personally kept OB but i do have peacocks and the female is much more shy and reclusive. But this is not always the case. Every OB is different which is what makes these fish so neat. ;)
