Hi
There are little white worm like things on the inside of my aquarium. They are on the glass, im sure there other places but i can only see the ones on the glass.

What are they and how to get rid of them??

Thanks,
Diz

They could possibly be neematoads, (sp?) but I'm not quite sure. I remember reading a post about them about a month back, but nothing came up when I searched. I believe they come mostly when there are water quality problems. What are your water parameters?

I see this occur most often in heavily stocked tanks. Often South American cichlid tanks. Increase your water changes and add the recommended dose of aquarium salt with every water change.

Hebdizzle thx for the link. They sound the same as what i have.
thx again

:D i guess i do a full water change maybe they not come back

They will come back.

They are probably planaria, and are present in all tanks. The only thing that will keep them at bay is not overfeeding.

And salt is neither here nor there for these things. It is inappropriate to recommend salt as an additive without considering what fish are present here.

The planaria you can see are the big guys. What about the huge population of microturbellaria? In a well-balanced, mature aquarium, there are a host of kinds of critters on the edge of visibility. Take a 10x loupe and make your way slowly along the glass at the top edge of the gravel...

Oh Wetman now what are you doing?...
