What came first, the egg, or the egg within the egg?

Wow, I thought it was odd when I cracked open an egg that had 3 yolks...but that definitely beats my 3 yolks any day...an egg inside an egg
i cut open a lemon one time, and one of the seeds had sprouted about a half inch, with a tiny leaf and everything. unfortunately, i had cut the sprout in half too.
