I have a 37 gallon fish tank. Right now I have a Brichardi Chichlid & we just got a Kenyi Chichlid. We would like to get a Convict or a Jack Dempsey. What would you guys recommend we get.

you should really ask is it smart to put African and south American chichlids together

i think you should stick with African chichlids as i have a JD chichlid i do really like him but Africans look really cool and most JD's don't play well with others
 
I wouldn't mix the two either keep it CA or Africans
 
Go with the Africans. I just had to redo my whole tank bc the fish wouldn't mix at all. I had a small Dempsey a convict and 2 fire mouths. They kept beating the crap out of my 2 small peacocks. I took the south Americans out and got a buttikoferi and a frontosa and things are going awesome. Much more color and compatibility with Africans I must add

I have a SA tank and an A tank. I keep it that way for a reason, they just don't mix.
