Hi! My fish are finally allll okay. They're all very healthy too, and I'm getting pictures developed soon.
But I just had question,s what varieties of foods fo you feed your oscars? I'd like to give my little 3 inch fry a great big variety.
So far, I feed him pellets, freeze dried and frozen blood worms, beef heart. My friend has a very large one he feeds crickets..I wasn't sure if this was a safe food
But, what else can I give him that is safe? And when he's bigger? I've seen people feed them crawdads and all sorts of things...

THanks!

My oscar's diet:

hikari cichlid staple
hikiari cichlid gold
hikari sinking carnivore pellets
hikari bottom feeder wafers
wardley algae wafers
freeze-dried krill
frozen krill
frozen bloodworms
frozen brine shrimp
frozen beefheart
frozen silversides
earthworms
mealworms

occasional crickets, shrimp

My oscars are pellet boys.

Hikari bio-gold for the 3 in the 125
Hikiari gold for the 2 in the 75

As treats, they get freeze dried krill, crickets, goldfish(rarely), the occassional vegetable that doesn't end up getting spit out, frozen beefheart, bloodworms or brine shrimp.

Thanks everybody for the output. I wanna vary my Oscar's diet alot more than just pellets and frozen beefheart and brine shrimp, but he's only 3 inches so far, and there's not much, hehe.
He shares his tank with balas...so I gotta kinda fit their feeding in the same margin...The balas seem to enjoy eating anything, though, even the zucchinis i throw in for them and hte pleco.

Thanks!
