My current group is:

1 betta (male)
3 common cories
3 bloodfin tetras
1 dojo loach

Those are moving out of my current tank into the 55, and I was wondering what else I might put in there. I was looking at:

3 more cories
1 Black Ghost Knife
8-10 Zebra Danios
1 Blood Parrot Fish

Would this work? If not, can I get some suggestions?

I've never heard -anything- about them needing that big. Or even close to that big. Most people I've talked to say 55, 40, or somewhere in that area.

I know how big they can grow, but from what I understand they really never leave their set territory.

Mine grew to the 8" mark quickly but has slowed down considerably since then. He is in a 210G tank so he has plenty of room. Mine has stuck to a pretty small territory around the area he spends the day hiding in. I dont know what he does after lights out however. In my opinion a 55G would be on the small side for its entire life span but if you had the means to upgrade it down the road I wouldent see a problem starting one in that tank. I highly doubt it will hit 20" in captivity. I may be wrong though.

YOUCLOULD GET ALL THOSE BUT THE Black Ghost Knife YOU ALSO MAY BE ABLE TO BUT 2 Blood PARROTS IN :D
