I picked up a used 35 gallon planted tank. I have 6 tiger barbs that I put in it that I had in a 10 gallon tank. What I was wondering is what can I put in the tank with them that they won't pick on. The tank seems empty with just 6 tiger barbs and a pleco. The pleco will be going in my 55 when I get it set up.

anything that doesn't have long fins..I read Bettas are out of the question..I also read that the larger the school of tiger barbs 6-7 the less they pick on other fish..

I was wondering about something with maybe a little different color. And maybe that acted a little different then the barbs.

Loaches (not clown for a 55) go well with T barbs. If you want to mix up the color they have green and albino T barbs. I've never tried it but does anybody know how rams or apistos would do with T barbs?

slightly off topic, but not really worthy of a new thread, but can anyone recommend some shrimp that wont attack the tigers?

Gohst shripm shouldnt attack tigers. Harlequin rasboras and anything in the danio family, except for the long fin/fantail zeba danio is good for a tiger barb. Realy any fish in the rasbora family. Cherry barbs... harlequins...ect.

More barbs can go with them but if the school of barbs is big enough then they will just harrass each other and leave the other fish alone for the most part.
