what I seen on spring break...

Well I went to see my mom over spring break and she lives in Mississippi. Well I talked her into going with me to a LFS about an hour from her house. I was amazed when I got there and seen these two:

It was really neat to see semi-adult specimens but it was sad because their tank was way too small for them. :sad:

Most of the LFS around here( dedicated to fish I needed to qualify this) may only be keeping the fish in a smaller tank for a short period of time..couple that with a very efficient filtration system and the fish will remain healthy.

I visited a LFS this weekend that was just moving in to a new building. I met the owner who is a very enthusiastic aquariast. he showed me the filtration system he used..the tanks are under constant water changes thru a drip system he had and a huge wet dry system.

couple that with constant monitoring and cleaning of the tanks..I think I found a relaiabe source...LOL :dance:

my LFS at one tim had a huge knifefish in a 10 gallon, it couldnt swim at all, it was actually longer then the tank...poor thing but it was probably sold to somone with a bigger tank
