What is a good substrate for cherry shrimp

I need help with finding a good substrate that will not bring down any water perimeters

If you don't want water parameters to change then plain sand can work fine. Plain gravel as well, I wouldn't go with the painted stuff though.

I've kept them plenty of times with plant substrate though, from flourish to more modern aquasoils, and not had a problem,using tap water that's relatively soft.

What problem(s) are you looking to avoid?
