I looked at petsmart's website and they put a live fish section on there. I saw something called a turquoise severum. I have never heard of it before. Is it just a green sev or what? I dont see much difference.

I saw these too...I am convinced they are just green sevs.

Not that I am aware of, but for the most part Severums are not aggressive. They can be housed with non aggressive fish and are fine. They also can be housed with all but the most aggressive of fish and hold their own. I had mine, at one time, in with Bolivian Rams, angels, and cory cats. I moved them when they decided to start eating my plants, into a tank with convicts, polleni, robertsoni, nicaraguense, and a green terror. They did well in both tanks.

i dont want to steal your thread, but can severums fit just fine in a 55 gallon

You could house a severum in a 55 gal, but a 75 gal would be more comfortable. The deeper footprint front to back would make it easier for it to turn around in the tank. If you decide to get one for the 55 gal, try to get a female as they are smaller (still good size).
