I have 2 sets of fish in my 55 right now as I'm about ready with my125 wide. Of all my tanks, and all my fish, I love my severums and BGK the most, especially as they have grown and developed great personalities. However, due to his exhibitionist nature and derring-do, my paratilapia polleni (aka Black Diamond, Spangled Cichlid, Malagasky, P. Bleekeri--the experts are still trying to suss out the names) is the center of the 55, and I'm afraid will visually overshadow the 125. He's about 8" now, thickening and developing into his adult form, which is really fascinating. Managed to get a sort of decent shot tonite--he's shy sometimes--and is at an angle so he looks shorter--sorry for the bad shot. His iridescent spots are lovely, shimmering in the subdued light--I've got some giant plastic plants, driftwood, rock and such to give everyone hidey holes. I named him Black Jack--can't remember why. He may possibly get to 14".
My dream tank/fish: 3-5 red xback arowana in a huge tank--total fantasy. Here's just one:
