As the title says...what is the newest high techie type thing you have seen for fishkeeping that is designed to make the fish live longer, smell better, swim faster or just plain make the housekeeping a lot easier, quicker or more fun?
Auto water change system, quarantine tank, strong filtration, light stocking = What I believe to be the best "gadgets" you can employ on a freshwater tank.
My favorite "high tech/new" aquarium gadget would be a fluidized bed filter. They provide an surpassed amount of filtration in a relatively small amount of space.
Also, the use of calcium reactors and kalkwasser stirrers has revolutionized reef keeping.
lol.... companies are always bring new products to the market. they are coming up with new products. i think new things i have used are the hot mag and the rena xp3. python and prime is great but all of those can you call new?
In my latest Aquarium USA issue, it has a Plug N Play Reef system, 34 gallons by Red Sea. It even kind of tempts me... But everything was designed to fit in the stand, with one power cord, and a central power system with buttons you turn the various things on and off. I bet it's very expensive. Still to a simpleton like me who gets scared when I accidently click on a link I didn't realize was in the dreaded Marine forum... it is intriguing.
