i got this fish and dont know what it is and what does it eat? the only thing i know is he likes the ph at 7.8

That would be a glass cat. try looking it up on fishbase.org
Next time you purchase a fish - research it first. It makes things easier on you and your new fish. Think about it...what if this little guy had turned out to be an aropaima (?spelling)? you might want to look that one up too - just for fun

yep, glass and ghost catfish are the same thing. they used to be so popular in the hobby, i dont know what happened to them really. i used to get sick of the sight of them in fish shops, but now i feel delight when i see them. i guess it will make a come-back one day...maybe sooner rather than later by look on this thread. i surely hope so.
