Hi all, I have a question for you. My friend just sent me a picture of one her cichlids and I'm trying to help her out by getting some advice. One of her fish in her tank of 15 assorted cichlids has a white sort of film in some areas. I wouldn't say it has an appearance of white salt at all. You can see it at some angles, and other angles it looks completely normal, he's been hiding a bit and has been flashing. I can't say for sure if it looks like ick? Any suggestions ? I can take him over and put him in my hospital tank for treatments. Just need some opinions, pictures are hard to get as he has been hiding quite a bit and is camera shy.

Does not look like ICK, more of an infection. I would treat with "Clout". Looks like an African Cichlid, maybe add some salt to the water, would act like a tonic.
