I have just set up a new 36 gal tank, and i was interested in using real plants. This would be my first time using real plants, so if anyone could suggest some that are easy to grow and manage, that would be great. :dance2:
How many watts do you have over the tank? That will help decide what plants will work for you.
Assuming you have low light, some easy plants are Java fern (attach to wood or rock), Anubias (also attach), Java moss (also attach), and Anacharis (plant in gravel).
20 watts is really low - unless you get additional lighting, you'll only be able to grow the java fern, java moss and anubias, as GirlieGirl8521 mentioned. They're also very slow growers, so you're probably going to be fighting algae problems as well.
Is there any way you can get additional lighting? That will open up your plant options considerably.
