What kind?

My subtrate if you want to call it is a bunch of riverbed rocks. I was wondering what kind of plants would survive in this? Is there and i could put in here? What would be the best, hardiest and cheapest? Thanks.

We need information about the whole aquarium. Substrate alone doesn't mean much.

I'd say anubias nana, java fern, cryptocorynes, and java moss. Look them up on this site: http://www.aquahobby.com/e_garden.php

like sammie suggest, i'll go for those plant they dont need any substrate cause you need to attach them on a driftwood and those plant are really hardy perfect for begginers
