What light would you use?

Hi

I have a 33 gal tropical tank and want to add few plants nothing much just some basic plants I guess and I have these lights to choose from

What would be best for me

20 watt 24inch Aqua-Glo

20 watt 24inch power-Glo

20 watt 24inch life-Glo

From that list, the life glow is the only one that, IMHO, would be of any use at all to you.

If I were you, i'd simply go to lowes/home depot/ace/menards/etc and pick up a GE or Phillips 6,700K or 10,000K T8 Flourescent bulb. Should be about 1/2 the price and twice as efficient.

Totally agree. You might be able to find one at Walmart as well. The price mark up for "fish tank bulbs" is ridiculous.

Life Glo 2 works great! I have it on one of my tanks and it is really doing a great job with the plants in my tank! Fish look better too

I really really don't like any of those aqua-glo,life-glo, or what ever they have. They don't really do much of anything for plants. When I first started with them my plants just withered away after a while. I agree with Coach-Z go to the home improvement store and get your self at least a 6,700 bulb.
