Howdy,

I have recently decided to go with a reef tank vs my original idea of a FOWLER. The tank that I have is a 16 gal Aqueon. It is 20" wide, 13" deep, and 18" tall.My question is what lighting system should I look into. I have tried to do some research and I don't think MH is what I want. I plan to keep low-light corals vs the ones that require MH. I found one system that seems pretty good for the price but I wasn't sure, so I am here to get some advice. The One that I am looking at is the Nova Extreme T5HO 36 watt 18":

Or this. I am a carpenter, so I have no problem building a hood for this tank.

Thanks,

Go with the T5 i think best light if your not going MH and if you did you well have heating problems with a smaller tank , PC is also nice for smaller tank , its all about the space you have , if you go with a single strip you well need a 50/50 light or something like it

check out this link you can get cheaper its just example
