what no algae!

HI,Iam Fredv
I am wondering if there is anything wrong with my tank because there is no algae in my tank at all.My tank is a 108 ltrsand has angel fish 3,catfish 5,gurammies 4,silver doller 1 and sharks 2.
I used to have a smaller tank at 3ft and had more or less the same fish community and the 3ft tank had blooms of algae,it was also in the same area /position as the new bigger one.Could any one explain the reason as it is extremely baffling!?

No, there's no real problem with that. It just maybe that you're keeping your tank in very good condition.

That sounds exellant but I am not doing anything different, just changing 30% Of the water weekly ,cleaning the filter also.Do the catfish not need the algae as well as veg and catfish pellets?

As long as you're feeding the catfish wafers/pellets, they'll be fine :)
Is this tank new? Sometimes newly set up tanks don't have much algae, it could also be that your catfish are taking care of any algae before you see it. Either way, enjoy it :D
 
I don't understand the question here - are you looking to get algae? If so, why?
 
my 25g has no algae either and I went thru **&&^%$$# with my 66g, I dunno.

I have to feed my ottos in the 25g now, I give them a spirulina or bottom feeder tab. If it continues like this, I'll move the ottos back to the 66g tank.

I wonder if those 2 filter shrimp have anything to do with this??? Nah!?? Ya think?
