I need a submersible sump pump well 2 that pumps 600 gph but the trick here is it needs to pump 600 gph about 20 21 ft high any help would be good the reason for 2 one for a back up

whats a good name brand to get one that will last many years I need it for a sump set up moving my sump to my basement .

High head submersible pumps (and this one would be very high head indeed) are hard to come by. The only ones I know of are the Danner Pro HY-Drive pumps. In this case, the 2600 might work for you: http://www.amazon.com/Supreme-Danner-ASP02581-Hy-Drive-Filters/dp/B007R533EQ

I've used this exact pump for moving top-off and water change water from my basement to my tank (about the same head height as yours) for 6 years without issues. I've never even cleaned it, but then, the water is RO and it's not in continuous service, just as needed.

As a pump for continuous use, you'll find that this setup takes A LOT of electricity for what you're getting, and adds a fair amount of heat to the water.

Other options:
1. Lower your head requirements by elevating your sump (build a rack to put it up on - as high as reasonably possible).
2. Use an intermediate sump that's under the tank. Send a smaller amount of water down to the basement and back up.
3. Use a non-submersible pump. There are a lot more options for high-head non-submersible pumps.

Mag-Drive are submersibles (same company as makes the Danner HY-Drive I pointed out earlier - the Mag-Drive pumps are their smaller ones).

Here are some high head non-submersibles:

Iwaki: http://www.marinedepot.com/pumps_iwaki_japanese_american-ap.html
Pan World: http://www.marinedepot.com/pumps_pan_world_magnetic_px_ps-ap.html

I thought Little Giant (a brand I've always liked) had some high head pumps too but don't see them at Marine Depot. Iwaki is the gold standard for external pumps, especially the Japanese made ones. Pan World was started by some Iwaki folk that left the company - they thought they could make just as good of a pump in countries with less expensive manufacturing costs (e.g. China) and seem to have successfully done this.

ty gonna go with the Pan World 150PS Magnetic Water Pump
Max Flow: 1100gph Max Head: 28ft
Power: 180W Fittings (Inlet/Outlet): 1" MPT / 1" MPT
seems outhers have put there sumps in there basements to

Good choice. Saltwater people (who almost always have sumps) sometimes put them in the basement, and use external pumps. They're reliable and add a lot less heat to the water, a bigger issue with saltwater.

Suggestion: In order to avoid a pressure drop due to turbulence use 1" pipe all the way from the pump to the tank. If there are any places where you need to go around corners use 2 45 degree elbows (or one of the gradual 90 degree elbows - they can be hard to find though) instead of a standard right-angle 90 degree elbow.

its a 95 reef tank with fresh water 7 silver dollars some neions black skrit at the foot of my bed the soumps a 30 gal with it at 1100 gal I think using 90s by the time its to the tank ill have 600 gph planded on 1" pvc with a flow check no matter what I do sounds like a waterfall in my sump +in the summer when the chiller kicks on gets way to hot in my bedroom
