IMO, the brown algae is normally present when light intensity is low and also there is less nitrogen (nitrate) in water. What is your bioload in this tank?
Normally brown algae disappears after few months when the tank approches the balance between bioload and filtration system.
I request you, if possible increase the light and make more water changes.
