Right now, I only have two Zebra Danios and I plan on keeping them...so pretty much anything that gets along with ZD's!

By the way, I like:
-Swordtails
-Guppies
-Kuhlii Loaches
-Platys

Any suggestions/concerns? What I'm really asking is how much of each one will my tank allow me to put in?

If they are the only bottom dwellers in the tank, you could do 6-10 kuhli loaches i think. And I agree with Zig, the danios would do better in a larger group. Don't think there's much problem with any of the fish in your list.

I've heard that swordtails are semi-agressive with other fish (fin nippers?)

Myth?

And thanks Zig & Bradt

well, i wouldnt really be concerned about swordtails bing nippers, but more so the ZD's. ive read online that theyre pretty agrssive and ive had a few myself and they fiped up some of my platys and my betta. ( dont ask about the betta... dont know why he was in there) since you already have ZD's you really limit yourself alot. i wouldnt put anything thats flashy or really colorful with the ZD's. you could try something less typical than platys and swordtails. maybe.. some corydoras pygmaeus, corydoras hastasus, corydoras hasbrosis... badis badis perhaps? :)

i keep danios with platys, guppies, bettas, mollies, cories, swordtails. and plecos and there has NEVER been an aggression issue with any of them-- and I only have a school of 5

Thanks...now onto another question:
If I DID want to put in Guppies OR Platys, Swordtails, and a few more Danios...
How many of each would I be able to put in a 20g tank along with my other 2 ZD's?

I think a lot of it depends on the tank itself. Is it a 20 long or 20 high? What type of filtration are you using? Will the tank be planted?

I would probably shoot for 6-8 of the kuhlis and danios; then go with 2-3 swordtails or platys; or 5ish guppies.

I would bring the danios up to 6 or 7 for some reason I like to keep odd numbers of schooling fish. I am not a fan of kuhlii loaches so i cant comment on them. Between plattys, swordtails and guppies I would take the guppies or swordtails. I had swordtails, and it is so much fun to watch the male backing up through the tank looking for the female of choice. One thing to keep in mind is that with most live bearers you will want to keep a 1 male to 2 or 3 female ratio. The males have been known to love the girls to death otherwise. As long as there are enough danios they should leave the guppies alone. The guppies may nip eachothers fins though. If it were my tank I would up the danio count to 7, add 2 male guppies, and 4 female guppies, and 3 small corry cats. My tanks are planted with live plants, so I am able to handle a slightly higher bioload in my tanks. As long as you keep up on your water parameters this should be a good setup.
