I'm setting up an 11 gallon rimless nano tank with the plumbing built into the background. I want to use rigid pvc for most of the system, with barbs connecting to standard eheim tubing on the back of the tank. Everything in tank, with the exception of the actual return nozzle, will be pvc. That will likely be a thread on loc line fitting.
I've been planning on using 1/2" pvc. But I wonder if 3/8" would be sufficient, it's a lot smaller. Curious to see what people have done in the past. I see a lot of 3/4" and 1" plumbing, but not a lot of smaller stuff.
