I am buying a 10G tank, and i want either a school of loaches or a school of cory cats, along with some shrimp and so on. The main focus is will a 10G tank be able to hold loaches, cory cats, or otos???

loaches belong in atleast a 25G tank for 2. you need to keep cories, otos, and loaches in groups, they are more comfortable. otos dont need much room per fish, so i would say they would be a good addition. siamese algae eaters get about 3" and groups of 2-3 are entertaining

what do you think of dwarf/ pygmy cories or dwarf loaches? i just found out about them

Two quick observations-

1- Sids are now listed on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
2- Sids are being renamed Yasuhikotakia sidthimunki though Botia is still used by most.

I have had a group of 7 sids in a 20L for about 3 years now and they are by no means the only fish in the tank.

I did not say they couldn't be kept in a 20...said they would do better in a bigger tank. By the way a 20 long has the same floor space as a 29.
