What species of catfish is this,it looks like a synodontis but i don't know,it is striped dark brown and orange yellow,it has head armour like a synodontis but it is a primarily a bottom dweller like a cory,it sticks to the gravel unlike a syno.The call it a laughing catfish.Could anyone shed some light on this thread?

Are the barbels branched? If they are likely a syno, if not then not a syno. Description could be S. shoutendeni.
