what tests do i need for my tank

i have been told once what test kits i need for a marine tank, but i cant find the thread,and iv forgot, so ill ask you guys again,

im going to get a liquid test kit called salifert from ebay, as there cheaper than the shop + there new in box. sapose to be the best, 'for in england that is'

which ones do i need out of this list, othere than the first 3

ph test
nitrate 3 test
nitrite 2 test
carbonate hardness test
amonia test
calcinm test
phosphate test

i just looked on how much all those test kits were to cost me including p&p
total £68 thats a lot of money.

if i desided to get the most important ones, which would they be?

For a reef or fish only??

If its for fish only, you just need pH, Ammonia, nitrITE and nitrATE

If its for reef, you need all of the kits listed in your first post of this thread Clare..

I know it may be expensive to buy them initially, but, a good range of tests kits in your armoury will greatly benefit your maintenance of the water...

nope from there u just buy kits for whatever else u add...like if u start to add iodine then u need to test for it etc....
