What to do about BBA on Jungle Vals?

I've had a little bit of BBA in my 110 for a while now, of course right when I get rid of the BGA I get BBA. Anyways, I've been removing it by spot clipping the plants. It's now spreading quite quickly, and I want to get rid of it fast. It's mostly on my Jungle Vals, which leads to an issue with the typical dosing of excel. What should I do?!

Tank is a 110 tall, moderately planted with a 20 gallon sump, emperor 400, penguin 100, 9w UV attached to a powerhead that's between 150 and 200 gph. Lighting is 2x175w Halides and 2 64w power compacts (have 2 more on the tank but the ballast blew, I can get a new one if it will help the algae). Also have 2 small petsmart co2 units meant for a 40 gallon tank (it was $8 each. Increasing the CO2 level is not an option right now unless I build DIY.) I just got done testing the nitrates and they are between 5 and 10. I don't have any other tests, so I can't tell you the ammonia or nitrite levels. I'm adding 2 800 GPH powerheads after christmas.

I would add a canister filter before I added large powerheads. You get much more room for bio filter that way and they have less bypass.

Pretty easy to make a couple,(or 4), double bottle DIY co2 units. Until you go pressurised it would be better than nothing.

Some folks have had luck with Vals by starting out with very small doses of excel and slowly acclimating them to it. Others have not had so much luck.

It seems like you have quite a bit of light for a limited co2 supply. How long are they on? Maybe cut back a couple hours and see if it helps.

One issue is that I'm going away for a week on friday, so I don't want to make any major changes before I go. I'm going to divide the lights into a 3 hour section and a 4 hour section with a 2 hour gap in between for now.
