well i gave my little sister a 2 gallon hex tank for her 13th birthday in may and she has gotten bored with the RCS and the 2 male endlers i put in there for her. She HATES betas with a burning passion, i don't know why but she dose. the tank is currently running as a planted tank (wel sorta, one aponogin in the center with a ring of lava rocks around it to corm a little "island" and then a bunch of java moss that has grown out of control.) The sub straight is mint green gravel with some black mixed in (looks like mint chocolate chip ice cream but thats what she wanted.) with an under gravel filter. What else could i do with a tank that small? she docent want shrimp, betas, those dwarf frogs, or anything else that i can think of. any ideas?

.... Other than shrimp there isn't much that can live long term in that tank.... Maybe look for a brightly colored brig snail? Some CRS?

bad news guys. my sister just walked in on my watching a video on my computer. she saw something i didn't want her to see. now she's on her computer watching every thing she can. she's obsessed.

get your minds out of the gutter! she saw a dwarf puffer! i know the tanks a bit small for one but do you think if i heavily planted it that one could live in there or do i need to start arguing with her to pick a different fish.

+1 totally

i think u have OEBT shrimp, right, mix those in for more brigthness, if she likes puffers, maybe a dwarf pea, not sure on that either, maybe just go buy her a 10G from petco for $15 and u'll have way more ops.

like any advice that you can give anyone when they think an animal is a good present... make sure the giftee wants a gift that requires effort :thm:

Too small for a DP, I would get some assassin snails, some different shrimp - maybe green babaultis? Either that or upgrade to a 10 gallon, get a DP and use the 2 gallon as a snail breeding tank to feed the DP.
