What to do with the odd one out

I have 3 angels in my 55G, and I am 99% certain that 2 of them are forming a pair. I have seen them cleaning leaves, and dancing around each other etc.

The problem is the odd angel out, they have been fighting like crazy. I know that the only realistic option is to get a new tank for the pair, but at the moment funds are somewhat tight and getting a new tank will be difficult (unless I can find something free on Craigslist, or someone with a spare tank I can borrow) and the only spare tank I have is a 10G, which is not much good for an angel who is probably close to 6" in height.

Is there anything I can do while they are together in the 55G? I came home yesterday to find the 2 largest ones with shredded fins and marks all over their bodys :( Obviously I don't want them to end up killing each other, so the sooner I can do something the better. I knew when I got them there would be aggresion, but usually it was just chasing, but lately its gotten pretty bad.

Any suggestions? The pair are pretty much trying to take over the entire 55G (hence I want to get a tank for them to go in together with nothing else).

Thanks.

Well, what I did was return the odd fish out to the LFS...or you could possibly put a tank divider in temporarily.

I don't think I could return the odd one to the LFS, and even if I could, I don't think I would want to return it.

I guess a tank divider may work, but not sure. I am checking Craigslist at the moment trying to find something that will work.
