I used Bio Spira once and it really seemed to work.

I would recommend products that introduce bacteria to accelerate cycling but would not suggest the any products that require routine addition of bacteria. Once your tank have enough bacteria, they can multiply without the need of introducing new colonies.

Just make sure you buy the freshwater Bio Spira and not the saltwater one.
I've cycled 10 tanks now with Bio Spira and I use it every time I introduce more than one new fish into a tank.
