I've recently bought some of the Hikari frozen brine shrimp cubes and frozen blood worms packs and I was wondering how often do people feed with them? I've always used flakes and dried stuff, but the frozen seems freshier. ( I guess...) :idea2:

Do others out there feed the frozen stuff daily or use it as a special treat periodically? Most of the fish I have seem to like the frozen and the flake except the Pacus who believe it or not eat more the pleco's food.

Just curious.....

I feed them frozen food once or twice a week, live food once a week, and dried goods the rest of the week.

Pacus are herbivorous cousins of the pirahna, though they will eat anyting if hungry.

I feed frozen brine shrimp and bloodworms twice a week as a treat. The rest of the feedings are dry goods. I don't feed them live food. I used to feed my jags and motos live food and after awhile they stopped eating dry goods and because of there size frozen food was out of the question because of the amounts I had to feed them. This is why I'm not feeding the fish I have at present live food.

I usually rotate between dried and frozen foods. I have micro pellets which are the staple since most of my fish are small. They get these usually every morning, and then in the afternoons I will switch between either dried daphnia, shrimp pellets different frozen foods.

Currently I'm experimenting a bit with the frozen stuff. The loaches really go for that more than anything, but I have one that doesn't seem to be eating anything, so I'm trying to find something appetizing so it doesn't waste away!
