Hi i have a Motoro stingray in a 240 and i was wondering what i should keep with it i was thinking maybe parrot fish or some other type of cichlids any suggestions?

Be careful putting agressive feeders in with the rays, it makes them harder to feed IME. I would look into a docile cat like a tig, and maybe put some discus in. I have 2 retic. rays and I keep them with a black arowana, synondontus, and a tigrinus. I had some other cichlids (salvinis and a parrot) in and they would make it more difficult for the rays to eat. I had to remove them so the rays could "graze". I think discus would look wonderful with a ray though.

Also, congrats on getting a motoro, they are beautiful:)

the parrot fish didn't bother the ray? i see where your getting at this is the second motoro my brother has his own and my goldfish were in it and they got all his food so i had to feed them first then drop a night crawler in for them. There were no incidents with the parrots? What size tank do you have?

The parrot (blood parrot) didnt bother them at all, just at all of their food. Same goes for the salvinis. I have them in a 135 for about a month, then they're going to move into my 300.

motoros get about 18" disc ( I believe) and a standard 240 has a 24" footprint.
It will be a good home for a long time.
