What to put in my 10 Gallon tanks

I recently bought a 40g and now have two empty 10g where the fish that are in the 40g used to be. I need to fill those tanks, and I want opinions of what to put in them. Are there any types of Cichlids that would not out grow a 10g? I want to make them nice FW community(or species might be ok) tanks. Thanks!

Shellies would work. One of my all time favorite cichlid, but I wouldn't try for a community setup. A pair of kribs--but again, they won't work well in a community.

Since all my fish are "big", I'd really love the construction of a well planted tank with a school of cardinal tetras. I think about 15 would fit fine in the tank, as long as it's well filtered and completely cycled.

Another choice, is plants, the biggest drifwood you can place and a trio of otocinclus. Again, with perfect quality water.

if you dont have a q-tank, you should make one of the tanks a q-tank.

Hmm... apistogramm may be your best option. I hesitate to mention J. transcritpus and guppies in a 10g... while I have had good results mixing guppies with the transcritpus, I'm not sure if I ended up with a few well behaved fishes .

I personally would not put pair of kribs in a 10g as they can and often do get very nasty with each other.
