hey got a 55g want to put something new in it not sure what i can get
currently have - 4 angel fish
3 clown loaches
2 pictus cats
5 albino cories
1 platinum gourami
1 honey gourami
1 moonlight gourami

i'm a little bored - i think i want something to occupy the middle to top of the tank - thinking of maybbe hatchets or cardinals or maybe some other type of tetra something different

maybe 2 or 3 more young angels and 2 or 3 more cories - what can i get that will fit oin oko

I have 4 cardinals in a 35 gallon and they stay at the very bottom almost all the time. I know hatchets will stay at the top. Danios usually stay mid to top and will add a lot of movement to your tank.

I agree with captain. Danios will stay toward the top. Swords, mollies, platties will stay top to mid most of the time too. Angels would probably be a good call also, but I don't think they mix well with gouramis.

Nice shoal of tetras, barbs or rainbowfish would look nice. 6-12 should be fine depending on the adult size of the fish.

If you get tiger barbs, the clown loaches may school with them due to the similar coloration.

Ah, rainbowfish how could I forget! Probably my number 1 suggestion would be rainbowfish. You have a nice sized tank for them. Buy young ones and raise them on a protein rich diet, you will be amazed by the colors!

i originally bought some dwarf rainbows for my 55 but while in q they broke out with mouth fungus - its been 2 mos they still have ti - theres been so many nasties in the tank they are in q in that i will never move them to my big tank even if i ever get them healthy - but they were my initial interest - i may get some more n keep them in a seperate tank for a while tho
