What type of fish is this?

Hello everyone! I'm new to the forum, so appologies if I'm posting this in the wrong section.
The other day, my mum was really thoughtful and decided to get me two new fish. However, she didn't think to find out what kind of fish they were. I know one is a catfish...well, I think one is. I'm really not a fish expert, so I actually have no idea. I'm hoping that someone here can help me identify what types of fish these little guys are so I can take care of them!

I should also note that I haven't noticed either of them eating anything yet. I got them two or three days ago. The only food I have handy right now are generic fish food flaked, and sinking pellets.

I don't know about the first but I saw the second on E-Bay just like 5 minutes ago! It looks like a Microgeophagus Apistogramma sp. otherwise know as an Angel Blue Ram. They also come in a gold var.
 
Also, other than the seller on E-Bay it is VERY hard to get information on these guys and they are also not available very often, so good find by mom!
 
If the first is some kind of catfish then it might appreciate some algae wafers.
