My oldest son desided to turn an old 10 gallon tank we had in the garage into a wild guppy tank... his friend gave him the fish... He set up the tank one day when he didn't have school and we were at work without us knowing and now we have guppy fry and more guppy fry. I was thinking that if I put some into my other tanks and maybe the puffer fish, sharks or others would eat them...

What do you think?

Thanks.

2 (0.5 in) freshwater Drawf Puffer fish

29 gallon:
Nothing but rocks & water

2.5 gallon:
1 Betta
1 gold snail

Sharks are mostly herbivores--I wouldn't put much faith in that idea. THe puffers might, but it's a bad thing--they will then start nipping your other fish.

The betta might be the best bet, but they need to be small, and you don't want them to be the primary diet.

Personally, I'd take that 29 and get a leaf fish. Awesome fish, perfect size, and they will love healthy little guppy fry.

is she trying to feed them to the other fish? why dont you just sell them for store credit? my lfs will take guppy fry for store credit and then sell them as feeder guppies (they sell for 1$ per dozen so i doubt it would be much, but better than nothing)
